Is Orange the new Black?

As the winter sales disappear from our great British high street and the new collections hit the stores, we start to have glimpses of what’s in store for SS16 and as the grey skies loom above us it’s refreshing to see that things are hotting up next season with the influx of fiery tones, namely ORANGE! Orange has the reputation for being a difficult colour to wear but the catwalks were alive with warming hues of orange and it’s set to become the colour of the season so here’s a few tips on how to introduce this gorgeous hue into your spring summer wardrobe.

Firstly, it’s a myth that orange is unflattering, it can actually be extremely flattering for many skin tones as long as you select the right hue for your colouring as it adds a natural glow to your skin. You also need to make sure your mix it with other colours that create balance  such as something soft like beige sandy tones, complimentary blues or navy to really bring out the brightness in the hue, army green which will offset the brightness or purple for a vibrant statement look. If you’re not feeling brave enough to attempt orange clothing then why not introduce a pop of colour in your accessories as a little orange goes a long way! Start with flats, bangles, earrings, a statement necklace, a scarf or a bag and you’ll instantly add some flair to your outfit.

Here’s a few suggestions from the High St….
